Our Story
In the heart of the vibrant Castle Hill section of the Bronx community, a humble seed was planted by God that grew into the flourishing Glory of Christ Church. Our story is a testament to faith, resilience, and the unwavering commitment of our beloved Pastor Raymond Talavera and his congregation who embraces the call of God among the community of Unionport.

1987
Glory of Christ church was birthed at the living room of our beloved Pastor Raymond Talavera and eventually were congregating at different sites in The Bronx.

La Gloria de Cristo nacio en la sala de nuestro amado Pastor Raymond Talavera y eventualmente se congregaba en diferentes sitios en El Bronx.

1992
GOC relocated to 1770 Westchester Ave, congregating on a weekly basis provided with Bible studies and worship services twice a week.

GOC se mudo para 2130 Westchester Ave, congregandose semanalmente proveyendo estudios biblicos y servicios de adoracion dos veces por semana.

2001
By God´s grace and provision, GOC acquired its own building at 2137 Ellis Ave in the same neighborhood of Parkchester.

2009
GOC building was devastated by fire that destroyed our place of worship, but remained hopeful and committed to their faith.

El edificio de la Iglesia GOC fue destruido por fuego dejando sin un lugar de adoracion, pero permanecieron con esperanza y fe segura.

2010
Our GOC building began a reconstruction phase, with expectancy to go back to their house of worship. GOC returned home on June 10th, 2010 stronger than ever!

El edificio de la Iglesia GOC paso por un proceso de reconstruccion y con la certeza de regresar a su casa de adoracion. GOC regreso a casa el dia 10 de Junio, 2010, mas fuertes que nunca!

Thirteen years after our tragedy, we stand resilient and prepared to persevere in serving God and His kingdom.
